News paper/ Magazine spread

Our brief was to create a newspaper spread populating on the storires, events, interviews, photogrphy that we do each day. The photos that we use, should be first hand phototgrapny and the headings/subheadings optiond should relate to story.

Research
After researching newspapers on the internet i discovered some kind of interesting newspapers.

     
    

I also took some photos of newspapers from home to give me a better understanding of the number of coulums used and the layout of images.

 

 

I did some rough sketches of the layout designs below and some topic ideas

After some development I researched magazines and fashion magazines as i found these were more appling and more creative to me, i thought they focused mainly on the type and images although i had looked at the idea of the newspaper with column and headings. Below is research I done of magazines and some images i took myself.

Below are some thumbnail drawings of ideas i had for my newspaper and magazine. I'd thought of travel and fashion as i had done alot of travling and was always interested in fashion. But as i sketched more i decided to keep it all fashion.






Finaly this is my final magazine spread. I wasn't sure which one to use as my final so this is both of them, there is only a slight change in the colours. I think I prefer the first one, but decided to leave the second one up too.
